Welcome to Eric and Linduh's website! This site walks you through the renovation
process of a formally triplex apartment back to a single family home. The home was
built in 1908 in an area known as the Historical Broadway District of Rock Island. The
first floor was set up as an apartment with access to the basement and has an enclosed
porch. There was a living room, dining room, two bedrooms, a full bathroom, butler
pantry, and a kitchen. The second floor had two apartments which were accessible to
an entrance to the right of the house. Each apartment had a kitchen and a full
bathroom. One apartment had two bedrooms and the other had one. Through the
original bathroom on the second floor gave access to the attic. The attic is unfinished.
The basement is partially finished. Half the basement has a concrete floor and the other
half is dirt.
The home was heated via hot water boiler. All of the radiators were original to the
house with the exception of one in the 1st floor kitchen, front apartment kitchen, and
add-on bedroom.
There is a two car garage in the back.
This home currently has 2,888 sq ft of pure living pleasure for the 1st & 2nd floors.
There is a full unfinished basement and attic.
We had converted the home back to single family with all new electric, plumbing,
insulation, forced air heat & central air conditioning.
Renovation began in mid February 2005 and we moved in mid April 2006.
